Integrated Primary Prevention Officer (Prev Wf) (Title 5) Job Overview
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Work involves supervising or performing work required to manage or direct one or more programs, including appropriate supporting social science service organizations. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown in the table for Professional and Scientific Positions. For Supervisory Positions, add the following Specialized Experience: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Length of time is not itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
