Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of experience at the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-15 grade level in the private sector overseeing the administration of an organization tasked with carrying out audits and investigations. Examples of experience will need to include at least 4 of the following: experience performing or supervising the performance of financial or management audit activities in the federal or private sector; experience providing administrative oversight of financial program audits and/or investigations of waste, fraud and abuse; experience providing executive leadership in conducting predictive analytics of the administration of a financial program to identify meaningful patterns that would indicate potential systemic and/or integrity issues for audit consideration; experience reporting to Congress, or an equivalent oversight body, concerning fraud, waste, and abuse of financial programs; experience developing long-range audit plans to provide appropriate budget and personnel coverage of audits; and/or experience supervising and directing staff in conducting audits, investigations and related follow-up activities. Specialized experience does not include administrative oversight of non-financial audits or investigations (i.e. audits or investigations related to program operations, real estate, equipment/inventory, systems, safety, technical/engineering, sexual assault, subsidies, and/or security). Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
