Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist Job Overview
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. *-Battalion or Brigade level staff experience highly desired. Experience working in a Joint Staff environment also desired. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. OR 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. ***Note: To qualify under the one-year Specialized Experience (SE) provision (when stated in the SE section), you must provide either: Two SF-50s (or equivalent) showing you were in the same occupational series at the next lower grade for at least one full year. The two SF-50s must span that full one-year period, from the older SF-50 to the newer SF-50 and reflect employment with the same federal agency. -or- One SF-50 (or equivalent) if your resume shows at least one year of continuous employment in the position reflected on the SF-50 (or equivalent).
