Supervisory Equipment Specialist Job Overview
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of lifting and handling practices and repair of nuclear and non-nuclear Weight Handling Equipment (WHE). Experience applying cost estimation techniques, evaluating work processes, and developing maintenance strategies and plans for the repair, alteration, and overhaul of WHE. Experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities, including the coordination of inspections, preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and work sequencing in support of WHE maintenance/operations. Experience testing and inspecting weight handling equipment in the mechanical, electrical, and structural areas of various types of weight handling equipment. Experience understanding applicable regulations and standards, including NAVFAC P-307 and other governing directives related to WHE operations, maintenance, and safety compliance. Experience directing and accomplishing work through subordinate employees and independently plan, organize and schedule work and meet deadlines.
