Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing general clerical and office automation functions, and technical support such as assisting with routine personnel actions; overseeing in/out-processing of employees; providing customer service by email or telephonically; and inputting and/or retrieving data utilizing automated systems.This is the definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
