Equipment Specialist Job Overview
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent o the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a primary technical advisor executing a full range of technical logistics functions, specifically encompassing provisioning, configuration management, and market research for aviation equipment or similar complex systems. 2) Interpreting complex supply data and providing contracting support to formulate solutions that meet sustainability goals for international partners or allied forces. 3) Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to evaluate equipment readiness, resolve life-cycle management issues, and align technical logistics strategies with organizational or command-level strategic goals (such as those of NAVSUP WSS). 4) Collaborating across logistics, engineering, and contracting divisions to ensure configuration baselines are maintained and international partner requirements are successfully executed.
