In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Knowledge and experience in the application, theories, and practices of programmatic internal control, enterprise risk management, and the reasonable assurance certification process; performing organizational performance management; researching, interpreting, and applying Federal laws and regulations as it relates to internal control; conducting complex reviews and assessments, handling large datasets, and delivering complex analyses; writing reports resulting from reviews and assessments; leading complex projects, as well as collaborating with stakeholder groups, that resulted in successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: In-depth knowledge and experience in the application of the principles, theories, and practices in the field of internal control. Broad knowledge of the NRC programs as a whole and practical understanding of the functional responsibilities, authorities, official responsibilities, and official relationship of the various entities involved in the regulation, licensing, and inspection of nuclear facilities and materials programs, and the connection to fee policy, budget formulation, and fee collections. Knowledge and experience in presenting and discussing financial and operational information, issues, and proposals and to effectively engage in discussions regarding enterprise risk management and internal controls and ways to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, management, agency leadership, the Commission, members of the public, representatives of professional groups, and/or other Federal or State agencies.
