For the GS-9: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that demonstrates all of the following: - Substantial experience operating as a driver for senior officials or executives, including expert-level familiarity with the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, its traffic patterns, federal facilities, and high-security routes. - Experience protecting sensitive and confidential information through the management of highly detailed and frequently changing executive schedules, travel logistics, itineraries, and coordination with protective services, security details, or protocol offices. Experience must include applying operational security principles, discreet communication practices, and threat-avoidance or defensive driving techniques. - Recordkeeping experience (vehicle logs, maintenance scheduling, mileage, documentation). - Experience coordinating, reviewing, and processing official documents, correspondence, reports, and decision materials for senior leadership, including preparing summaries, meeting materials, agendas, and written communications. - Skill in maintaining organized manual or automated tracking, filing, and retrieval systems; using databases to input, track, update, or retrieve workflow or correspondence information; and ensuring materials are complete, accurate, and procedurally compliant. - Experience supporting high-level meetings, hearings, or briefings through scheduling and logistical coordination, documenting outcomes, and managing associated records and workflow. OR Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree directly related to the position, OR Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D., if related, OR A combination of education and experience.
