Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF an AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-6652-10 without more than normal supervision such as: Demonstrating the ability to use measuring instruments appropriate to the line of work such as: simple measuring instruments including rules, scales, squares gages, testers, pressure indicators, tachometers, test lights, ammeters, meggers, watt meters, and testers; Utilizing more complex measuring instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, protractors, combination squares, dynamic balancers, dividers, templates, precision blocks, millvoltmeters with shunts; frequency meters; bridges; and oscilloscopes; Performing accuracy in checking, counting, verifying, and sorting; Keeping records, logs, inventories, and making reports. Demonstrating knowledge of storage, treatment, care and handling. Using arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc. Knowledge of storage, treatment, and care. Meeting a time schedule, deadline, or emergency when using the instrument.
