In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Group Standard for Administrative & Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while managing, coordinating, and assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of large scale, complex training and exercise programs that are critical to achieving objectives; enhancing readiness across multinational, coalition, and partner organizations and planning, managing, and coordinating complex training and exercise programs that are critical to achieving command/organizational objectives. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques, management principles, methodologies, and financial management directives, to effectively plan, execute, and evaluate exercises and programs. 2. Knowledge and practical experience in combat and non-combat operations, including Joint Exercise and Training processes, to oversee strategy development, policy implementation, and long-term planning for Mission Rehearsals and crisis response exercises. 3. Knowledge of the Joint Training Exercise and Evaluation Program (JTEEP) processes and capabilities, supporting organizational exercise and training requirements, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and accurate program assessment. 4. Skill and ability to plan and organize complex exercises and provide technical expertise in the execution and evaluation of battle staff training events. 5. Ability to analyze and adjust work operations across multiple organizational segments, ensuring program requirements and objectives are met through efficient resource allocation and reallocation. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior leadership ensuring clarity in conveying policy, planning, and operational recommendations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
