Supply Technician Job Overview
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting logistical and supply support. Examples of specialized experience should include some or all the following: 1) Knowledge of supply policies and procedures related to material management; 2) Ability to review data using automated systems and reports; 3) Ability to ensure the management and handling of material complies with current producers, directives, and guidelines; 4) Ability to apply and interpret established manufacturing terminology, data, standards, policies, and instructions to ensure timely delivery of material to customers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
