Maintenance Worker, Na-7 Job Overview

Skills and Knowledge: Two years of experience that demonstrates knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Responsibility: Works under general supervision. The majority of the work is performed independently where the incumbent makes decisions based on personal knowledge. Physical Effort: Lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment. Requires prolonged standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside, and incumbent is exposed to dirt, paint vapors and fumes. Must wear issued protective gear. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
