Supervisory Educational Technician Nf-04 Job Overview

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position. - For positions in Youth Facilities: The education must have been in youth development, youth administration, secondary education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science. OR A combination of education and experience. Education: 24 semester hours in the majors stated above or a related field (see above), plus appropriate experience. Experience: Candidate must also possess all of the following: 1. Six months experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs. 2.Experience managing in a classroom setting within child and youth programs. 3.Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum. 4.Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" and may be sent first for consideration: Highly Preferred candidates will submit resumes reflecting ALL of the following experience: 2 years of experience in working with youth 12-18 years of age Experience facilitating Boys & Girls Clubs of America and/or 4H clubs 2 years of experience working with Army inspections
