Allied Trades Worker Job Overview
General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training which provides the ability to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and use common tools and equipment in the line of work. ALLIED TRADES WORKER, WG-5801-8: Must have at least 12 months experience or training using common hand and power tools and various machine tools involved in various simple fabrications; Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of metal body parts, components, and accessories; Experience which demonstrates a basic understanding of operating welding and cutting equipment for fabrication and repair; Experience demonstrating an understanding of the makeup and operation of constructing and repairing wooden items; Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
