Biomedical Technician Job Overview
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Experience utilizing medical support systems (e.g. Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System) to track, schedule, and complete required medical equipment maintenance. (2) Experience ensuring controlled property records are prepared and maintained containing appropriate nomenclature, serial number, model, manufacturer, and other pertinent data for each piece of medical and non-medical equipment. (3) Experience selecting proper replacement parts, modification kits, mechanisms, and components from manufacturer's literature to conduct complex and minor repairs while ensuring optimum medical equipment standards are maintained.
