Records Program Technician Job Overview

To qualify for the Records Program Technician, PG -0305-6, you must meet the following requirements: Records Program Technician, PG-0305-06, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-05 grade level in the Federal Service related to the work of the position. Must meet the specialized experience that includes: 1) Applying laws governing records management to ensure records are accurately maintained or disposed of according to guidelines, 2) Using various computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel and Word), databases, and automated systems, and 3) Indexing, filing, and locating records. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
